Man who fired shots near Royal Canadian Mounted Police in British Columbia is in custody

Police ordered people to take shelter in place, close their doors, and refrain from leaving their businesses or homes, according to the RCMP, after 12:26 PST reports of an active shooter driving a Ford truck.

Officers and specialized units were deployed in response. No injuries were reported in the accident, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

Vanderhoof is located approximately 522 miles north of Vancouver.
